The Royal Box is where the King and his entourage can withdraw and relax between events as guests at sporting occasions at Holmenkollen. The worn, painted concrete floors are now a thing of the past - and at last the box looks fit for a king. One of several projects we have carried out in the same building - among them the Fireplace Lounge and the staff changing rooms.

The Royal Box is not a room that takes up much space day to day - but when it is in use, everything has to work. It is about representation, comfort and an impression of lasting quality for the most high-profile guests who visit Holmenkollen.
We replaced the worn, painted concrete floors with tiled, hard-wearing surfaces - well suited to a box like this, and able to withstand the bustle of major championships and events.

A tiled floor and a new terrazzo staircase formed the foundation for the entire upgrade. The choice of materials provides both solidity and a timelessness that suits royal representation as well as day-to-day operations in a public venue.
The tiled floor and staircase have given the Royal Box a solid upgrade. A bonus is that it is also much easier to keep clean!– Technical Manager, Skiforeningen
A result that has stood the test through several major championships - a careful upgrade of a room with both historical and ceremonial weight.
A bonus is that it is also much easier to keep clean!
