A partnership that has matured across several projects at Holmenkollen - from the Royal Box to the staff changing rooms. When Skiforeningen's own technical manager - a former carpenter himself - set out to upgrade the Peisestua lounge into a modern common room and kitchen-approved premises, it was Bjørn and his team he called.

Skiforeningen's technical manager knows what good craftsmanship looks like - he is a carpenter himself. That is precisely why he has kept placing project after project in the hands of VBKU.
What makes working with Bjørn so pleasant is that I have one person to deal with who carries all the communication forward to his team. The craftsmanship is, of course, excellent, and he has full control of the projects - all the way from demolition to completion.- Technical manager, Skiforeningen

The Peisestua lounge is where Skiforeningen's staff gather for lunch, meetings and events. It was not always this way. Before the renovation the room was worn out, and there was no clear divide between clean and unclean zones - a requirement for premises where food is prepared.
We stripped out and rebuilt the entire floor as a full renovation - from the floor plan, pipes and ventilation to surfaces and equipment.

It sounds trivial, but it is the very heart of the difference between a common room and an approved kitchen space. We planned the flow of the room around the authorities' hygiene requirements - with clear zones, the right surfaces and dedicated ventilation for cooking.
As a centrally approved contractor, we handled the applications, internal controls and documentation throughout the project.

The overall process matters most to me - and here Bjørn and his team have delivered time and again.
